“False flag terrorism” occurs when elements within a government stage a secret operation whereby government forces pretend to be a targeted enemy while attacking their own forces or people. The attack is then falsely blamed on the enemy in order to justify going to war against that enemy. The term comes from the old days of wooden ships, when one ship would hang the flag of its enemy before attacking another ship in its own navy. Because the enemy’s flag was hung instead of the flag of the real country of the attacking ship, it was called a “false flag” attack. The sinking of the Lusitania, Pearl Harbor and the Gulf of Tonkin incident were all false flag to get America into wars that the American people would not have supported otherwise. More recent false flag since 9/11, are executed to hype the phony war on terror so governments can continue to usurp power from the people and diminish their individual rights of freedom. Some false flag are theatrical with crisis actors and fake blood, however most involve real injuries and deaths as a sacrifice for ‘the greater good’.
Of course, a false flag is a conspiracy . It involves the collaboration of a few to fool everyone else. Their success depends, naturally, on the concealing of their secret, covert plan. Anyone who discovers it and tries to expose it must be discredited, thus many disinformation tactics are used and the labeling of ‘conspiracy theorist’ usually abounds.
