Regarded as one of the most dangerous vaccines on the market today, the FDA supplied fast-tracked approval for Merck’s Gardasil vaccine in June of 2006 —promoted for the prevention of cervical cancer and other conditions attributed to four types of human papillomavirus (HPV), in spite of little, if any, proof that a link even exists between HPV and cervical cancer, a cancer that only effects one out of ever 10,000 women, far less than the risk of being damaged or killed by the vaccine itself. HPV is a common sexually transmitted infection that often has no symptoms, except in the case of genital warts, and it clears up on its own within two years in 90% of cases.
The lead developer of the Gardasil vaccine, Dr. Diane Harper, has reconsidered her support of the vaccine, instead choosing to discuss its possible side effects and lack of efficacy. Unphased, Merck launched a Gardasil vaccine trial in 2016 on infants – yep, Merck is testing a vaccine for an STD on babies. The FDA initially licensed Gardasil solely for 9- to 26-year-old girls and women, but subsequent FDA decisions now enable Merck to market Gardasil’s successor—the nine-valent Gardasil 9 vaccine—to a much broader age range—9 to 45 years—and to both males and females.
In her presentations and interviews, Dr. Harper explains that the risk of cervical cancer in the United States is very low and that vaccinating for the disease was unlikely to have any affect in the prevention of cervical cancer. In 2% of cases, HPV does result in cervical cancer and is usually the result of an extremely weakened immune system.
The ironic fact is that the synthetic chemicals in the Gardasil vaccine have been shown to interfere with normal immune system response and may leave you more susceptible to the development of serious diseases, including cancer. What’s more, some of these chemicals have been classified as carcinogenic (cancer-causing).
Also, the so-called protective benefit of an HPV vaccination does not extend past 5 years. This means if your daughter receives the Gardasil vaccine between the ages of 9 and 12, the effect will wear off before she becomes sexually active. This approach makes no logical sense if the idea is to guard her against the development of HPV-induced cervical cancer.
As a result of Gardasil’s expanding markets not just in the U.S. but internationally, the blockbuster HPV vaccine has become Merck’s third highest-grossing product, bringing in annual global revenues of about $2.3 billion. However, Gardasil’s safety record has been nothing short of disastrous. Children’s Health Defense and Robert F. Gardasil was developed for the STD known as HPV, and was approved by the FDA in 2006. The disease did not become of concern until the 1980s, when research first suggested that there may be a link between HPV and cervical cancer. However, whether this link actually exists has been a major point of contention. There are several hypotheses that explain why HPV may not actually cause cancer, but one particularly interesting theory was expressed by McCormack et al in their paper published by the journal Molecular Cytogenetics in 2015. The research team also raised several significant questions about the prevailing theory on the connection between HPV and cervical cancer. For example, HPV is present in 70 to 80 percent of the American adult population, so why does cervical cancer only effect one out of ever 10,000 women?
According to their paper, neither HPV nor genetic predisposition is required for the onset of cervical cancer. In fact, all of the cervical cancer cells analyzed during the course of their study contained new abnormal karyotypes. The genetic makeup of these new abnormal karyotypes suggested that the cervical cancers originated within the karyotypes, and not from a virus. A karyotype is the size, number and shape of chromosomes within an organism. Their theory, called the Karyotypic Speciation Theory, essentially suggests that “carcinomas are generated de novo from cellular chromosomes, genes and proteins, which are not immunogenic in the host of origin (just like all other cancers).” As SaneVax.org explains, in this theory, hypothetical cancer cells that are generated by viral proteins (such as HPV) would be eliminated by antiviral immunity.
So to put it simply, the researchers posit that these changes to cell chromosomes were occurring independent of viral stimuli (which would be HPV), rather than because of it — which in turn renders vaccination for such a thing relatively useless. SaneVax.org notes that even after 25 years of research on HPV’s link to cancer, no definitive answers on how or why it causes cancer have been found.
While the link between HPV and cancer remains obscured, there is no shortage of evidence that the Gardasil vaccine does more harm than good. The vaccine has been linked to causing cervical cysts, crippling autoimmune diseases and even destroying women’s ovaries. Merck has even admitted that they “forgot” to see how a vaccine that was initially targeted at young women might effect a key component of their reproductive systems – their ovaries. Some have even died almost immediately following vaccination.
Despite the claims of safety being pushed out by the media, the medical industry and Big Pharma, the evidence that the Gardasil vaccine is a damaging injection continues to pile up. Even industry professionals have come forward to express their concerns. Dr. Dianne Harper, a leading HPV researcher that was involved in the approval of Gardasil, has cautioned, “Gardasil has been associated with at least as many serious adverse events as there are deaths from cervical cancer developing each year.”
Jabbing infants with this vaccine isn’t just unwarranted, it’s barbaric. If it wasn’t for independent research, and the bravery of those who speak out, the propaganda machine would continue to run unopposed and without consequence.
What follow are 25 key facts about Gardasil/Gardasil 9, including facts about the HPV vaccines’ clinical trials and adverse outcomes observed ever since Merck, public health officials and legislators aggressively foisted the vaccines on an unsuspecting public.
Inappropriate Placebos and Comparisons
- A placebo is supposed to be an inert substance that looks just like the drug being tested. But in the Gardasil clinical trials, Merck used a neurotoxic aluminum adjuvant called AAHS instead of using an inert saline placebo.
- Among girls and women who received the vaccine and among girls and women who received AAHS, an astonishing 2.3% in both groups experienced conditions indicative of “systemic autoimmune disorders,” many shortly after receiving Gardasil.
- Multiple scientific studies associate aluminum not just with autoimmune diseases but with autism, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and Parkinson’s disease as well as behavioral abnormalities in animals.
- Merck lied to study participants, falsely saying that the clinical trials were not safety studies, that the vaccine had already been found to be safe and that the “placebo” was an inert saline solution. [Source: The HPV Vaccine on Trial (photo evidence, pp. 6 and 12).]
- When Merck conducted clinical trials for its next HPV vaccine formulation, Gardasil 9, it used Gardasil as the “placebo” in the control groups, again relying on the lack of an inert placebo to mask safety signals.
- The 500 micrograms of aluminum adjuvant (AAHS) in Gardasil 9 are more than double the amount of aluminum in Gardasil; this raises the question of whether Gardasil 9’s heavy reliance on the Gardasil trials for comparison is justifiable.
- The World Health Organization states that using a vaccine (rather than an inert substance) as a placebo creates a “methodological disadvantage” and also notes that it may be “difficult or impossible” to assess vaccine safety properly without a true placebo.
Inappropriate Inclusion and Exclusion Criteria
- In the only Gardasil trial in the target age group (11- and 12-year-old girls) with a control group design, fewer than 1200 children received the vaccine and fewer than 600 served as controls. This single trial involving fewer than 1800 children set the stage for the vaccine’s subsequent marketing to millions of healthy preteens all over the world.
- The Gardasil clinical trials had numerous exclusion criteria. Not allowed to participate in the trials were people with: severe allergies; prior abnormal Pap test results; over four lifetime sex partners; a history of immunological disorders and other chronic illnesses; reactions to vaccine ingredients, including aluminum, yeast, and benzonase; or a history of drug or alcohol abuse—yet Merck now recommends Gardasil for all of these groups.
Inadequate Monitoring
- Some of the study participants—but not all—were given “report cards” to record short-term reactions such as redness and itching. The report cards monitored reactions for a mere 14 days, however, and Merck did not follow up with participants who experienced serious adverse events such as systemic autoimmune or menstrual problems.
- Injured participants complained that Merck rebuffed their attempts to report adverse side effects. In numerous instances, Merck maintained that these “weren’t related to the vaccine.”
- Half (49.6%) of the clinical trial subjects who received Gardasil reported serious medical conditions within seven months. To avoid classifying these injuries as adverse events, Merck dismissed them as “new medical conditions.”
Cervical Cancer Risk-Benefit Ratio Not Worth It
- The median age of cervical cancer death is 58 years. Gardasil targets millions of healthy preadolescents and teens for whom the risk of dying from cervical cancer is practically zero. Interventions for healthy people must have a risk profile that is also practically zero.
- Annual deaths from cervical cancer in the U.S. are 2.3/100,000. The death rate in the Gardasil clinical trials was 85/100,000—or 37 times that of cervical cancer.
- With 76 million children vaccinated at an average cost of $420 for the three-shot Gardasil series, the cost of saving one American life from cervical cancer amounts to about $18.3 million dollars. By contrast, the value of a human life according to the Department of Health and Human Services’s (HHS’s) National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program is $250,000—the maximum amount that the government program will award for a vaccine-related death.
- According to Gardasil’s package insert, women are 100 times more likely to suffer a severe event following vaccination with Gardasil than they are to get cervical cancer.
- The chances of getting an autoimmune disease from Gardasil, even if the vaccine works, are 1,000 times greater than the chances of being saved from a cervical cancer death.
- Women in Gardasil clinical trials with evidence of current HPV infection and previous exposure to HPV had a 44% increased risk of developing cervical lesions or cancer following vaccination.
- Women who get the Gardasil vaccine as preteens or teens are more likely to skip cervical cancer screening as adults, mistakenly assuming that HPV vaccination is a replacement for screening and that the vaccine will eliminate all risk.
Fertility Effects
- Accumulating evidence points to Gardasil’s potentially severe adverse effects on fertility, including miscarriage and premature ovarian failure.
- Merck never tested the vaccine for fertility effects. However, Gardasil and Gardasil 9 clinical trials showed high spontaneous miscarriage rates of 25% and 27.4%, respectively—significantly higher than the background rates of approximately 10%-15% in this reproductive age group.
- Polysorbate 80 and sodium borate (Borax) are associated with infertility in animals. Both are Gardasil ingredients, and both were present in the one clinical trial protocol that professed to use a benign saline placebo.
Post-Licensing
- In 2015, Denmark opened five new “HPV clinics” to treat children injured by Gardasil. Over 1300 cases flooded the clinics shortly after their opening.
- Since Gardasil came on the U.S. market in 2006, people have reported over 450 deaths and over 61,000 serious medical conditions from HPV vaccines to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS).

The Vaccine That Should Never Have Been Licensed
As suggested in the conclusion to the 2018 book The HPV Vaccine on Trial, the rollout of Gardasil in 125 countries worldwide has illustrated—in an all-too-real and shocking manner—the phenomenon that prompted Hans Christian Andersen to write “The Emperor’s New Clothes.” Around the world, over 100,000 Gardasil-related adverse events have now been reported to the FDA and WHO, and accounts continue to multiply of “scandal, lawsuits, severe injuries, and deaths.” For almost 200 years, Andersen’s story has taught readers about the need to speak the truth, pay attention to evidence and listen to children. The rosy narrative manufactured for the dangerous Gardasil vaccine must not be allowed to hold sway any longer. It is time, in the words of the HPV Vaccine on Trial authors, to proclaim—loudly—that “the Emperor has no clothes.”
Harmful Ingredients in HPV Vaccine
The commercials touting the benefits of Gardasil and Cervarix show healthy young women and girls enjoying carefree lives. What they leave out of these advertisements could do serious harm to the young women you care about. Here is a list of potentially harmful ingredients in the HPV vaccine:
- Aluminum. Aluminum is neurotoxic to the brain when injected and can lead to brain inflammation and nerve cell death. It has also been shown to trigger an immune response at the injection site, which can spread out and contribute to the development of chronic joint and muscle pain.
- Sodium Borate “Borax”. Sodium borate comes with a warning label that clearly states it “may damage fertility” and “may damage the unborn child.” It is toxic to reproduction and may account for some of the infertility cases associated with this vaccine.
- Polysorbate 80. Polysorbate 80 is a vaccine stabilizer shown to cause abnormal and rapid growth of reproductive organs resulting in sterility and birth defects.
- L-Histidine. L-Histidine is an amino acid that converts to histamine, which interferes with a toxic metal detoxification protein called metallothionein. This may be a contributing factor in the development of MT deficiency in autistic children. A child with MT deficiency will have a much harder time eliminating the toxic heavy metals contained in vaccines.
- MSG (Yeast Protein). The MSG (monosodium glutamate) used in the Gardasil vaccine to feed the live virus is neurotoxic. It easily crosses the blood-brain barrier – a filtering mechanism that keeps toxins in the blood from entering the brain – of young children as theirs is not fully developed like that of an adult.
The Serious Side Effects Doctors Don’t Warn You About
The synthetic chemicals listed above can cause serious side effects. It’s the reason 15,037 girls and young women have reported adverse affects from this vaccine. The most common being:
- Cervical Dysplasia. The idea behind the Gardasil vaccine is to prevent cervical abnormalities and cervical cancer. Contrary to this fact, the HPV vaccine has been linked to the development of pre-malignant squamous cells in the cervix. Cervical dysplasia not induced by a vaccination can usually be fought off by the body’s immune system. However, if your immune system is weakened by the vaccine, it may be much more difficult to fight off these abnormalities before it develops into cancer.
- Guillian Barré Syndrome. In Guillian Barré Syndrome, your immune system attacks your nervous system resulting in nerve inflammation, tingling in extremities, muscle weakness, and eventual paralysis. The neurotoxic chemicals found in the Gardasil vaccine are foreign to your immune system, which may prompt it to try and fight to protect you.
- Miscarriages and Birth Defects. The HPV vaccine contains two powerful synthetic chemicals, sodium borate and polysorbate 80 that have been linked to infertility, birth defects, and developmental disabilities.
- Blood Clots. Smokers and women using oral contraceptives are at special risk for the development of fatal blood clots. One otherwise-healthy young woman died within 3 hours of receiving this vaccine.
- Death. There have been 26 reported deaths of previously-healthy girls in just one year after the Gardasil vaccination. This resulted in the US court awarding 6 million dollars in damages to affected families.
