(char-a-MEL-ah) “Charlie” in the Strzok-Page texts, is an anti-Trump, Democrat CIA analyst and former NSC staffer who was moved to the West Wing of the White House. “He was moved over to the front office” to temporarily fill a vacancy, said a former senior WH official, where he “saw everything, read everything.” Already an open secret in DC, he was identified by Real Clear Investigations as the so-called ‘whistleblower after he filed a whistleblower complaint on August 12 (just after the FBI changed the rules to allow hearsay) over President Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Zelensky where the two discussed ferreting out corruption. Mainstream media did their darnedest to keep his name from being attached to his rather spectacular charges. A willing puppet of John Brennan and Adam Schiff who was very likely a CIA plant inserted into the Trump White House by Brennan then returning to Langley, VA to work at the CIA’s HQ. He likely was part of the Russia collusion hoax from the beginning.
Earlier Life and Education
According to Eric’s biography, he grows up in Prospect, Connecticut. Eric spent time attending Woodland Regional High School in Beacon Falls, Connecticut, and then graduated from Chase Collegiate School in Waterbury, Connecticut, in 2004, according to the prep school’s alumni magazine. After high school, Eric attended Yale University, graduating in 2008 as a Russian and East European studies major. In 2007, he was awarded a grant by the Yale Macmillan Center for European Union Studies to research on the perceptions of the EU among rural Italian residents.
Eric also studied at Harvard University, focusing on Russia, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, according to the school’s website. He received a grant in 2009 for research on Language in the Public Sphere in Three Post-Soviet Capital Cities, Tbilisi, Georgia; Yerevan, Armenia; Baku, Azerbaijan. Eric was additionally a corresponding author for Harvard’s Department of Linguistics and wrote a paper in 2015 titled, Structural ambiguity in the Georgian verbal noun. Ciaramella is said to speak Russian and Ukrainian, as well as Arabic.
Career
According to a 2011 publication, Eric worked at the World Bank after college. In the World Bank report, he listed in the acknowledgments for making outstanding contributions” to the research. He joined the Central Intelligence Agency at some point during President Obama’s second term. Eric was detailed to the White House to serve as a Ukraine expert with the National Security Council in 2015. He worked under Obama’s National Security Advisor Susan Rice. Eric Ciaramella also worked with then-Vice President Biden, who was working closely on Ukraine issues at the end of Obama’s time in office. He is also listed as a guest at a 2016 luncheon to honor the prime minister of Italy, along with Biden. Several U.S. officials told RealClearInvestigations that the invitation that was extended to Ciaramella, a relatively low-level GS-13 federal employee, was unusual and signaled he was politically connected inside the Obama White House.
Ciaramella was Biden’s point man on Ukrainian issues and accompanied the Vice-President on a trip to Ukraine in search of dirt on Trump. He worked with Alexandra Chalupa, Ukrainian by birth and also an early participant in the Russia collusion hoax, in 2016 to advance the anti-Trump effort; and this year Ciaramella worked closely with HPSCI Chairman Adam Schiff’s staff to continue his efforts. His close colleagues are Abigail Grace and Sean Misko, both aides to Schiff. It is with these two former NSC staffers that Ciaramella created the fake whistleblower complaint. As Mark Levin commented, the NSC was, and perhaps remains, a rats’ nest.
Mike Cernovich reported in June, 2017, that McMaster promoted Ciaramella in spite of being connected to Susan Rice in Obama’s White House –
West Wing officials confirmed to Cernovich Media that Eric Ciaramella, who worked closely with Susan Rice while at NSC, was recently promoted to be H.R. McMaster’s personal aide. Ciaramella will have unfettered access to McMaster’s conversations with foreign leaders.
(Ciaramella’s old boss, McMaster, was in the news siding with the whistleblower.)
Politico shared this about Ciaramella, in a hit piece claiming Trump supporters in the White House claimed people like Ciaramella were ‘deep state’ – they may have been right – [emphasis added below]
Trump political appointees were believed to frequently talk to journalists who worked for conservative media outlets. For months, those outlets published names of career Civil and Foreign Service officers in the NSC and other government agencies whose loyalties they deemed suspect. Career staffers who had joined the U.S. government many years, sometimes decades, earlier were suddenly cast as Obama loyalists determined to derail Trump’s agenda as part of a “deep state.” The people targeted included a State Department civil servant of Iranian descent who’d joined government under the George W. Bush administration; a highly respected Foreign Service officer who dealt with Israeli issues; and an NSC staffer who dealt with European and Russian issues. The latter, Eric Ciaramella, reportedly left the NSC after receiving death threats. Another staffer targeted by conservative outlets was Fernando Cutz, a Latin America expert and top aide to McMaster; at one point he had to temporarily get police protection. (Cutz was maligned by conservative websites in part because he earned a master’s degree from the University of Arkansas’ Clinton School of Public Service, thus supposedly linking him to another Democratic president.)
Also, others have noted Ciaramella was Obama’s NSC Director for the Ukraine. This connects him and his team at the NSC to Joe Biden. Biden was Obama’s lead in the Ukraine so it’s implausible that Ciararmella and his team were not connected to Biden. Schiff’s leakers are connected to Biden also.
Eric Ciaramella, the Fake ‘Whistleblower’
Eric Ciaramella has been named as the ‘whistleblower’ as per an article by Real Clear Investigations, which was tweeted by Senator Rand Paul.
It is being reported that the whistleblower was Joe Biden’s point man on Ukraine. It is imperative the whistleblower is subpoenaed and asked under oath about Hunter Biden and corruption. https://t.co/qsOwZ4H2IN
— Senator Rand Paul (@RandPaul) October 31, 2019
As indicated by the moderate inclining Genuine Clear Examinations, Ciaramella’s name was an open mystery in Washington D.C. His name has since been spread by moderate intellectuals and sites, including the Washington Inspector and The Federalist. Congressperson Paul required the informant to be subpoenaed to affirm after swearing to tell the truth. Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz additionally shared a connect to the RCI article on Twitter. Donald Trump Jr. wasn’t interested in keeping it a secret either as liberals called for his arrest for outing him, of course, after he had already been outed.
Investigative journalist Paul Sperry of Real Clear Investigations pointed out the following from his investigation:
In May 2017, Ciaramella went “outside his chain of command,” according to a former NSC co-worker, to send an email alerting another agency that Trump happened to hold a meeting with Russian diplomats in the Oval Office the day after firing Comey, who led the Trump-Russia investigation. The email also noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin had phoned the president a week earlier.
Contents of the email appear to have ended up in the media, which reported Trump boasted to the Russian officials about firing Comey, whom he allegedly called “crazy, a real nut job.”
In effect, Ciaramella helped generate the “Putin fired Comey” narrative, according to the research dossier making the rounds in Congress, a copy of which was obtained by RealClearInvestigations.
Ciaramella allegedly argued that “President Putin suggested that President Trump fire Comey,” the report said. “In the days after Comey’s firing, this presidential action was used to further political and media calls for the standup [sic] of the special counsel to investigate ‘Russia collusion.'”
Not long after that, he got kicked out of the NSC for suspected leaking, something other people have been jailed for. It raises questions as to why the heck this guy even ended up at CIA, drawing a likely six-figure salary and big bennies. He doesn’t even sound security clearance–worthy, given his propensity to leak. Tight-lipped he wasn’t, but neither is Brennan, or Comey, or Clapper so….
And maybe that has a lot to do with his past politics, unimpeachably Democratic and leftist — which would amount to the real reason Democrats are protecting him. How bad was it? Sperry writes:
A CIA officer specializing in Russia and Ukraine, Ciaramella was detailed over to the National Security Council from the agency in the summer of 2015, working under Susan Rice, President Obama’s national security adviser. He also worked closely with the former vice president.
Federal records show that Biden’s office invited Ciaramella to an October 2016 state luncheon the vice president hosted for Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi. Other invited guests included Brennan, as well as then-FBI Director James Comey and then-National Intelligence Director James Clapper.
Several U.S. officials told RealClearInvestigations that the invitation that was extended to Ciaramella, a relatively low-level GS-13 federal employee, was unusual and signaled he was politically connected inside the Obama White House.
Former White House officials said Ciaramella worked on Ukrainian policy issues for Biden in 2015 and 2016, when the vice president was President Obama’s “point man” for Ukraine. A Yale graduate, Ciaramella is said to speak Russian and Ukrainian, as well as Arabic. He had been assigned to the NSC by Brennan.
Rice, Brennan, Biden… After that, he started hanging out and plotting with Rep. Adam Schiff. With the collapse of the Mueller report, that was then the place to be…
The whistleblower filed his “urgent” report against Trump with the I.C. inspector general on Aug. 12, but it was not publicly released until Sept. 26.
Prior to filing, he had met with Schiff’s Democratic staff for “guidance.” At first, the California lawmaker denied the contacts, but later admitted that his office did, in fact, meet with the whistleblower early on.
Earlier this year (2019), Schiff recruited two of Ciaramella’s closest allies at the NSC — both whom were also Obama holdovers — to join his committee staff. He hired one, Sean Misko, in August — the same month the whistleblower complaint was filed.
During closed-door depositions taken in the impeachment inquiry, Misko has been observed handing notes to the lead counsel for the impeachment inquiry, Daniel Goldman, as he asks questions of Trump administration witnesses, officials with direct knowledge of the proceedings told RealClearInvestigations.
Republicans participating in the restricted inquiry hearings have been asking witnesses about Ciaramella and repeatedly injecting his name into the deposition record, angering Schiff and Democrats, who sources say are planning to scrub the references to Ciaramella from any transcripts of the hearings they may agree to release.
“Their reaction tells you something,” said one official familiar with the inquiry.
For example, sources said Ciaramella’s name was invoked by GOP committee members during the closed-door testimony of former NSC official Fiona Hill on Oct. 14. Ciaramella worked with Hill, another Obama holdover, in the West Wing.
Hill was brought on by either Gen. H.R. McMaster or Gen. Michael Flynn, but she did work for Obama earlier, so “holdover” might not be the right word. However, it’s obvious now that Hill was a Trump-hater based on her depositions to the Schiff committee. She had Ciaramella on her staff and the pair of them, like a couple of crooks, obviously egged each other on in mutual reinforcement of their loathing of Trump, and it could have been more than just these two.
According to the Washington Post Eric Ciaramella worked late in his cubicle at the CIA headquarters for two weeks before submitting his complaint against President Trump. During that same time period Ciaramella, who was not on the Trump-Zelensky call (nor were any of his sources), was meeting with Adam Schiff’s office in planning the attack on the US president.
Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman was speaking with Ciaramella and is likely his source.
It was all coordinated, it was all pre-planned with Schiff. The leaks, the hangings out with like-minded officials, the evidence of political connections, the coziness and wonderfully advantageous maneuvers with Schiff point to a tainted, politically motivated and very unreliable witness, a guy who’s supposedly a dispassionate CIA analyst but now exposed as a wannabe political operative with a very tainted political patron. Ciaramella, he ought to be fired, and working now for an organization more compatible with his inclinations, political operativity and bureaucratic dishonesty … some place like Fusion GPS.
Attorneys Mark Zaid and Andrew Bakaj went on to caution against speculation, claiming that it can cause harm to any person who may be suspected to be the whistleblower. “Disclosure of the name of any person who may be suspected to be the whistleblower places that individual and their family in great physical danger,” read the statement. “Such behavior is at the pinnacle of irresponsibility and is intentionally reckless.”
RussiaGate
On June 17, 2016 Ambassador to the Ukraine Geoff Pyatt meets Eric Ciaramella at the White House with Toria Nuland present as well. Within a month of Nuland and Pyatt’s visit with Ciaramella in the White House, Nuland shared the Russia collusion Steele dossier with the FBI –
Nuland’s involvement in the controversy about the Bidens’ dealings in Ukraine may raise new questions about the motivations of the officials involved in the circulation of the Steele dossier, the document which for three years fueled the debunked narrative that then-candidate Donald Trump colluded with Russia in 2016 to influence the 2016 presidential election. Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence officer, compiled the dossier by paying second- and thirdhand sources with ties to the Kremlin. The Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee ultimately funded Steele’s work.
Nuland told CBS that she received a copy of the Steele dossier in July 2016 and forwarded it to the FBI. She has argued that she did right to forward the dossier to the bureau, but in doing so became one of many Obama administration officials who helped, wittingly or unwittingly, to launder Steele’s allegations by adding credibility to the unverified document in acting as a highly-placed conduit.
“He [Steele] passed two to four pages of short points of what he was finding, and our immediate reaction to that was, ‘This is not in our purview,’” Nuland told CBS. “‘This needs to go to the FBI, if there is any concern here that one candidate or the election as a whole might be influenced by the Russian federation. That’s something for the FBI to investigate.’”
Between Sept. 26, 2016, and Dec. 10, 2016, Nuland received Russia-related information from Steele via State Department official Jonathan Winer, according to documents released as part of a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit by conservative watchdog Judicial Watch. During these three months, the FBI obtained the secret court warrant to surveil Trump campaign associate Carter Page. The Steele dossier served as the core of the evidence used in the Obama administration’s application for the warrant.
In December 2016, Nuland received a briefing about the Steele dossier from David Kramer, a longtime associate of late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), according to Kramer’s deposition (pdf). McCain specifically directed Kramer to brief Nuland about the dossier. The extent of Kramer’s outreach lay bare a coordinated plan to widely disseminate the dossier among highly placed officials, lawmakers, and the media. In addition to briefing Nuland, Kramer briefed 17 members of the media, Senior Director for Russian Affairs at the National Security Council Celeste Wallander, Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.), and House Speaker Paul Ryan’s chief of staff, Jonathan Burks.
So Nuland and the State Department shared the Steele dossier in July and again in December of 2016. This is right after attempting a coup in the Ukraine and having a prosecutor looking into their misdeeds with the Ukrainian government and corporation Burisma. Also, this is just after meeting with ‘whistleblower’ Eric Ciaramella! (TGP)
