(NBC News) House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who for months resisted efforts to launch impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump, announced a formal inquiry on Tuesday, saying that the president’s growing Ukraine scandal marked a “breach of his Constitutional responsibilities.”
“This week the president has admitted to asking the president of Ukraine to take actions which would benefit him politically,” Pelosi said.
“The actions of the Trump presidency revealed the dishonorable fact of the president’s betrayal of his oath of office, betrayal of our national security, and betrayal of the integrity of our elections,” she continued. “Therefore, today I am announcing the House of Representatives is moving forward with an official impeachment inquiry.”
Pelosi said she was formally directing the House’s six committees that have jurisdiction over impeachment, oversight and other related matters to “proceed with their investigations under that umbrella.”
“The president must be held accountable,” she said. “No one is above the law.”
Pelosi’s change of heart comes as dozens of House Democrats — now more than two-thirds of the caucus — have come out in support of an impeachment inquiry in the wake of reports that Trump may have withheld aid to Ukraine to pressure officials there to investigate the son of political rival Joe Biden. As it turns out, Ukraine had been investigating the shady dealings of Burisma for years. With the deep state controlled white house of Obama and Biden, the investigations within the Ukraine and from London were both squashed, and digging by the Trump administration has tried to be squashed with phony impeachment investigations, etc.
(Infowars) In addition to the democrats, who cannot defeat Trump in the Polls and must resort to ousting him any other way they can, Hollywood, RINO’s, and turncoat conservatives showed their true colors in the coup to oust the democratically elected POTUS. Trump’s threats to drain the swamp have become a reality and have called for desperate measures.
Some of Trump’s most prominent conservative media supporters had already been tipped off about the impeachment plan, including Matt Drudge, who had been desperately warning Trump in recent weeks that he needed to purge his administration of disloyal figures. Bringing articles of impeachment against the president requires a majority vote in Congress, while a vote from at least two thirds of the Senate would be required to remove Trump from office. The only way this could be accomplished was if former and current members of the administration acted as whistleblowers against Trump, which is precisely what could unfold in the coming months.
The deep state and the Democratic Party establishment that has sought to sabotage Trump from day one will not relent on their hysterical mission to overthrow a democratically elected president. This, combined with Trump’s frustration at members of his own team not being strong enough in retaliating to constant media smear campaigns, in addition to endless leaks, makes for a toxic combination.
