Rev. Jasper Adams gives Sermon titled, “The Relation of Christianity to Civil Government in the United States”

Rev. Jasper Adams gives a sermon to his congregation titled, “The Relation of Christianity to Civil Government in the United States,” on February 13, 1833. Rev. Adams rejected the concept that Christianity has no connection with our law or political institutions, but that Christianity was intended to be “the corner stone of the social and political structures” of the founders. “We must be a Christian nation, if we wish to continue a free nation.”
