the largest ‘scientific’ and ‘professional’ organization of psychologists in the U.S. with around 117,500 members with an annual budget of around $115m. The organization is controlled by the NWO culture destroying interests and homosexual lobby. This lobby has, since 1973, managed to remove homosexuality as a mental disorder from the DSM and turn the tide such that now ‘homophobia’ is the actual mental illness. Likewise, in 2012, Gender Identity Disorder was removed under pressure from the powerful lobby. There are 54 divisions of the APA—interest groups covering different subspecialties of psychology or topical areas. The APA “makes resolutions and public policy statements on issues for which there is little or inadequate science.” (source) According to newsmagazine Newsweek the APA represents psychotherapists without medical degrees and in 2006 had 150,000 members.
Nicholas Cummings, former President of the American Psychological Association and one of the people who led the movement to have homosexuality declassified as a mental illness speaking to an audience of fellow professionals in 2005, stated the profession of Mental Health, psychology, psychiatry is dominated by social-activist groups. Dr. Cummings stated that he has had a life long commitment to promoting diversity, and has been appalled to see activists commandeer organizations such as the APA to further their own social agenda.
As per Dr. Cummings, when the APA conducts research, they do so only “when they know what the outcome is going to be…only predictably favorable outcomes are permissible.”
Beginning in the late 60s, homosexual activist groups began lobbying leading psychiatric organizations to lay the groundwork for the deletion of homosexuality as a mental disorder. Dr. Ronald Bayer, author of the book Homosexuality and American Psychiatry, writes:
The entire process, from the first confrontation organized by gay demonstrators to the referendum demanded by the orthodox psychiatrists, seemed to violate the most basic expectations about how questions of science should be resolved.
Instead of being engaged in sober discussion of data, psychiatrists were swept up in a political controversy. The result was not a conclusion based on an approximation of the scientific truth as dictated by reason, but was instead an action demanded by the ideological temper of the times.
Along these same lines, a recent radio documentary on the subject of homosexuality revealed that the president-elect of the APA in 1973, Dr. John P. Speigel, was a “closeted homosexual with a very particular agenda.”
Another of the reasons APA members were so quick to vote in favor of homosexuality’s removal from the DSM, according to Dr. Joseph Nicolosi, is that many in the psychiatric profession had “failed to identify, with certainty, the psychodynamic causes of homosexuality, and consequently to devise a reasonably successful treatment for it.” (It should be noted that although the psychiatric profession as a whole has failed in treating homosexuals, there are still many psychotherapists who report great success in such treatment.)
Dr. Cummings in offering his proposal to declassify homosexuality as a Mental Disorder, stated “I made the resolution that being gay was not a mental illness, that it was characterological,…. I also said with that, that the APA, if it passes this resolution, will also vote to continue research that demonstrates whatever the research demonstrates. Unbiased, open research.”
During his tenure as APA president , the organization utilized the “Leona Tyler” principle. In a nutshell, the Leona Tyler principle called for the use of Scientific Objectivity, which is a basis of all science, or at least its supposed to be. Objectivity is a basic philosophical concept, related to reality and truth. Objectivity means the state or quality of being true even outside of a subject’s individual biases, interpretations, feelings, and imaginings. Scientific Objectivity is a value that informs how scientific studies are conducted and how scientific truths are arrived at. It is the idea that scientists, in attempting to uncover truths about the natural world, must aspire to eliminate personal biases, emotional involvement, etc ..
Today, it is nowhere to be found in the APA Scientific Objectivity has been swept under the carpet and completely forgotten. Since at least the Mid 90s leftist Ideology rules at the APA. Cummings has stated that its members are ‘Cherry Picking’ results’ to fit their Agenda. As per Cummings the gay rights movement sort of captured the APA.
While researching his book Destructive Trends in Mental Health, Cummings and his partner Rogers Wright sought participation of a many fellow psychologists and were flatly turned down, fearing professional retaliation such as loss of tenure, loss of promotion, and so forth. “We were bombarded by horror stories …Their greatest fear was of the gay lobby, which is very strong in the APA.” stated Dr. Cummings.
Homophobia as [a form of] intimidation is a much feared technique employed by Gay Agendaites to stifle, ridicule and in a professional sense, destroy anybody or anything that would dare oppose or even think about disagreeing with the gay agenda. “Sadly, I have seen militant gay men and lesbians– who I am certain do not represent all homosexuals, and who themselves have been the object of derision and oppression– once gaining freedom and power, then becoming oppressors themselves….this was aptly demonstrated, during an interchange that took place in a large meeting assembled by the then-current president to address the future of the APA. I was just about to agree with one of the participants, when she stopped me before I could speak. ‘I don’t know what you are going to say, but there is nothing you and I can agree on, because you are a straight white male and I am a lesbian. Such blatant reverse discrimination was overlooked by everyone else in the room, but I was dumbfounded…This woman is prominent in APA affairs, is extensively published, and has received most of the APA’s highest awards. The APA continues to laud her, even though recently she had her license suspended for an improper dual relationship with a female patient! What would be the response had it been a straight white male in an improper dual relationship with a female patient?”
Dr. Rogers Wright, Cummings partner and co author of Destructive Trends in Mental Health: The Well Intentioned Path to Harm stated that psychology has been ultra-liberal Wright described the difficulties he has encountered with the American Psychological Association since they instituted a decision not to respond to their book in an effort to deny publicity for it. The APA actually banned the book and prohibited its members from reviewing or commenting on it. “So much for diversity and open-mindedness,” Wright added.
Another psychiatrist critical of the politicization of the APA is Dr. Jeffrey Satinover, M.D. In his talk entitled “Judicial Abuse of Scientific Literature on Homosexuality by the American Mental Health Professional Organizations,” he offered a tediously referenced description of ethics and morals breeches in recent legal cases that have led to landmark changes in family-law policy.
Dr. Satinover stated that mental-health organizations had allowed themselves to be manipulated and commandeered by the gay agenda which has deliberately distorted research findings to serve their own goals. He called this distortion of the science, “appalling beyond imagination.” Dr. Satinover has also taught constitutional law at Princeton.
Santinover has been called as an expert witness in court cases, much to the dismay of the Gay lobby. He has been asked to assess briefs being submitted to state and the U.S. Supreme Courts, Satinover has had the chance to tear apart hundreds of research papers offered as evidence by gay agenda activists who had been invited to represent the views of the major mental-health associations. Psychiatrist Dr. Richard Fitzgibbons has stated said that the American Psychiatric Association (APA) has continuously ignored evidence that homosexuality is a manifestation of a psychiatric disorder. In their recent call for the legalization of homosexual marriage, “the APA has revealed a political bias that is of no service to homosexuals, stated Dr. Fitzgibbons.
Fitzgibbons, co-author of Helping Clients Forgive: An Empirical Guide for Resolving Anger and Restoring Hope, said the APA has completely ignored the impact on children in gay marriages. It is being increasingly proven that children have a dire psychological need for a stable family with a mother and father, something the gay lifestyle simply can not accommodate.
Fitzgibbons presented a list of psychological difficulties endured by homosexuals. Which includes, but is certainly not limited to major depression, suicidal tendencies, sever anxiety disorders, addiction and substance abuse, lowered self-esteem ,inability to maintain committed relationships.
The Gay apologists have frequently cited persecution as a primary cause of these disorders, however, Dr. Fitzgibbons has correctly pointed out that many of these studies were conducted in cultures where homosexuality is widely accepted. These studies have been completely ignored by the APA. In fact in many cases they have not only been ignored, but refuted with tainted evidence, and non-scholarly half baked studies.

Gender identity disorder [gender dysphoria] is the diagnosis used by psychology professionals to describe people who self identify as the opposite sex, it is a condition in which a male or female feels a strong identification with the opposite sex. A person with Gender identity disorder frequently experiences dissatisfaction with their actual physical gender. They frequently act and represent themselves as members of the opposite sex. They are also known as transsexuals and transvestites.
In December 2012, as in 1973, when Homosexuality was declassified, the APA has once again bowed down to political pressure and manipulation from Gay Activists and removed GID – Gender Identity Disorder from the DSM [Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders] without any scientific basis of fact – they have totally disregarded Scientific Objectivity.
