If he was a conservative Christian man who taught creation science instead of climate change, astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson would have already been declared a dangerous rapist by the mainstream media, based merely on sexual assault allegations that recently surfaced against him. But because he’s a longtime darling of the Left Cult, Tyson is instead getting a free pass of presumed innocence to continue on with preaching his climate lies.
Dating back as far as 2014, Tyson has been the subject of numerous allegations by women who say that he sexually-assaulted them. One woman, Tchiya Amet, who attended graduate school with Tyson, says she was left “traumatized” after Tyson alleged spiked her drink with a date-rape drug before raping her inside his apartment near The University of Texas at Austin.
“I was a grad student in Astronomy at UT Austin, the same time that Mr. Tyson was there,” Amet wrote in a blog post about her experience.
“My dream was to become the first Black Female Astronaut. I went to [Neil Tyson’s] apartment to visit like I did almost every day. He was like my big brother, or so I thought. He offered me a glass of water. I accepted a liquid in a cup made out of a coconut shell. I recall coming back to consciousness briefly, then next thing I remember is seeing him in the hallway the next day. I have lived in this nightmare for 30 years, and it stops today.”
At least two other women have made similar accusations against Tyson for a total of three – the same number as Justice Brett Kavanaugh – and yet the mainstream media is remaining mostly silent in this case. That’s because Tyson, unlike Justice Kavanaugh, is a member in good standing of the Left Cult, and thus is afforded privileged treatment in the court of public opinion.
Liberal logic: Women are only to be believed if they falsely accuse conservative men of sex crimes
Instead of lambasting him day and night and trying to destroy his career, as was the case with Justice Kavanaugh, the Left Cult is treating Tyson as if he’s completely innocent. He even made a recent appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where non-playable character (NPC) Stephen Colbert acted as though it was just another day with the world’s snarkiest purveyor of fake science.
Tyson, of course, denies all allegations that he committed any wrongdoing. He even attempted to defend himself on social media by petitioning to the innocent-until-proven-guilty precedent that seems to only apply to liberals, considering Justice Kavanaugh wasn’t afforded this same equal treatment under the law.
“For a variety of reasons, most justified, some unjustified, men accused of sexual impropriety in today’s ‘me-too’ climate are presumed to be guilty by the court of public opinion,” Tyson wrote in a recent Facebook post, demonstrating the double standard that’s applied to liberals versus conservatives.
“Emotions bypass due-process, people choose sides, and the social media wars begin … In any claim, evidence matters,” he added.
What’s ironic about Tyson’s alleged guilt is that he, himself, actually corroborated some of the claims made against him by admitting that he was present at the times when his accusers say he took advantage of them. Justice Kavanaugh, on the other hand, was not present, nor was any evidence ever presented against him to suggest otherwise.
In other words, Tyson is far more likely to actually be guilty here, and yet he’s being treated as an innocent man by the establishment. Meanwhile, conservatives like Justice Kavanaugh and even Justice Clarence Thomas are still looked at by many liberals as being guilty without having ever actually been proven as such.
