the largest NGO involved in the trafficking of illegal aliens on both sides of the border. Catholic Charities receives millions of dollars ($3 billion as of Jan 2024) in federal grants to essentially operationalize Biden’s illegal alien invasion strategy. It is not a Catholic Charity nor are their sub-organizations Catholic charities — they’re actually cartel front groups who then take these children and send them to the American pimps who will then sell them on the streets of our country.
Ben Bergquam, a patriot who is Catholic, exposed Catholic Charities in McAllen, Texas for trafficking people into the US. He said that Catholic Charities is a social justice organization tied to the undermining of America by the left. He said that the US government has paid Catholic Church over $3 billion for trafficking migrants. Bergquam reported cell phone data shows that 71% of the illegal aliens are being delivered to Republican congressional districts by design, which he said is a crime.
Ben Bergquam, the host of Law and Border on Real America’s Voice, appeared on the War Room with Steve Bannon to talk about the conflict of interest between what Catholic Charities claims they are doing in the name of faithful Christians and what they are in fact- actually -doing that is harming humanity as they exploit the Southern Border for maximum profit. Bergquam, armed with numerous detailed investigations by multiple independent investigative journalists, including himself, provided Bannon with the definitive edition on how corrupt Catholic Charities really has become. He also explained to the War Room audience why Americans and all Christians should care about this issue.
“What the government and Catholic charities are doing at the border is tied to Communism and the undermining of America; it’s all tied together,” Bergquam told Bannon.
Catholic Charities, with the help of the US government, are trafficking and enslaving humans in the name of a religion that is grounded in liberating the captives. These actions are absolutely intolerable to the Catholic people and to other Christians who do not consent to these horrors, and the outrage over the injustice is growing. Bergquam told Bannon, “Complicit Clergy had this amazing article that just came out exposing this entire racket showing Catholic Charities are involved with human trafficking, and it is being paid by the federal government. This organization basically left the Catholic church, even though they are still under the umbrella of the Catholic church. But in the 1960s, it went from a social organization to a welfare organization; it shifted its entire focus to social justice”.
TABLE 1 shows that Catholic organizations received a whopping $3 BILLION in federal immigration funding between 2008-2022, ranking Catholic organizations (as a whole) amongst the top recipients of federal immigration funds.
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has been a major player in the immigration game for years. TABLE 2 reveals that the USCCB ranks as the 5th LARGEST RECIPIENT of prime federal immigration grants, receiving over $1 BILLION between 2008 to 2022.
The USCCB essentially acts as a general contractor. Most of the PRIME AWARDS it receives is distributed as SUBWARDS to other organizations, such as Catholic Charities. Between 2008-2022, the USCCB was the single largest grantee of subawards in the nation as shown in TABLE 3.
A further analysis of subawards reveals a sprawling network of federal monies being transferred between PRIME grant recipients and other organizations, with the USCCB having the largest pipeline amongst all the players.
Catholic Charities is by far the largest Catholic recipient of federal immigration funds, having received over $1.8 BILLION of federal grants between 2008-2022. This figure includes both PRIME awards received directly from federal agencies as well as SUBAWARDS received from other organizations (see TABLE 4).
During the Trump administration, Catholic organizations received an average of $212 million annually in federal immigration funds. However, under the Biden administration, this amount mushroomed to $618 million in 2022, a nearly three-fold increase from the Trump years (see TABLE 5).
The explosion in government funding corresponds directly to the dramatic increase in illegal aliens crossing our southern border during the Biden administration. It is estimated that nearly 7 million illegal aliens will be apprehended at the U.S. southern border by the end of 2023. This does figure does not include those migrants the avoided apprehension, which could easily double these figures.
Catholic organizations, under the direction of Catholic bishops, is KNOWINGLY involved in the trafficking of illegal aliens. In an ironic twist, it should be noted that while Catholic organizations gained over $3 Billion for immigration activities, the bishops lost over $3 Billion due to criminal and civil suits involving the sexual abuse of children. Should it ever be discovered that the Church’s involvement in the settlement of illegal aliens also involved the sexual abuse of children, the consequences would be devastating.
Is it any wonder why the USCCB has become a lobbyist for open borders? The amount of money being devoted to immigration-related activities begs a fundamental question:
Is the USCCB is a religious organization whose mission is the salvation of souls or is it simply a non-governmental organization (NGO) at the beck and call of political operatives?
Catholic Charities website on immigration services details a breakdown of the multitude of benefits and handouts provided to illegal immigrants as soon as they cross over illegally into the United States. These handouts are funneled through federal grants which are funded by the hard-earned money of American taxpayers.

Others are facing a one time crisis, such as a job loss. The El Paso TX Catholic Charities will try to help clients become stabilized. “An opportunity that is available for immigrants is to make an income working at home. There are jobs out there for those of all backgrounds, nationalities, and languages. There are work from home positions for Spanish speakers, Cubans, Koreans, Chinese, and really all ethnicities.”
“The money they earn can help them supplement other jobs they may have. Normally a W-9 or identification is not needed for these work from home jobs, and their paycheck may be “under the table” and/or does not need to be reported to the IRS or the government. As an example of what may be out there for illegal or undocumented immigrants, they can do things such as find hobbies for extra cash. Or there are gig economy type jobs and much more.”
No wonder there is an invasion at the border! Catholic Charities and other NGOs facilitate the distribution and access to all these inducements to break the law. While the illegality is shocking enough, it is absolutely mind-boggling that wrongdoing would provide such a breathtaking array of taxpayer-funded benefits and conveniences for the invaders-all paid for by law-abiding American taxpayers.
Also, notice the brazen illegal advice that Catholic Charities provides to illegal immigrants to avoid reporting to the IRS “under the table” work. Oh, if only Americans had such generous assistance with avoiding taxes, paying bills, and windfall benefits! Instead, 87,000 IRS agents are now being hired and trained to harass Americans to insure that they pay in full their taxes, including, but not limited to auditing illegal “under the table” revenue.
Perhaps, the most lasting and impactful benefit (buried in small print), Catholic Charities will assist in securing driver’s licenses for illegals. This raises the troubling and illegal specter of Automatic Voter Registration by illegals at motor vehicle departments across the country. Therein, lies the true motivation behind this border madness-a tsunami of new Democratic Party voters. We are watching in real-time the collapse of our sovereignty and our civilization. America is in a free fall and we are paying for it.
