Socialism

Socialism

Jon Rappaport explains it as “a protection racket, a long con, and a heartless system of elite control posing as the greatest good – a utopian system of universal equality and sharing. Except in the specifics of its updated lies, it is just another form of top-down tyranny—as old as the hills.

The history of socialism has its origins in the 1789 French Revolution and the changes which it wrought, although it has precedents in earlier movements and ideas. The Communist Manifesto was written by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels in 1848 just before the Revolutions of 1848 swept Europe, expressing what they termed “scientific socialism”. In the last third of the 19th century, social democratic parties arose in Europe, drawing mainly from Marxism. The Australian Labor Party was the world’s first elected socialist party when the party won the 1899 Queensland state election.

The ‘Report from Iron Mountain’ is Published

The substance of these stratagems [for the weakening of the U.S. so it can be more easily merged into a global government based on the model of collectivism] can be traced to a think-tank study released in 1966 called the Report from Iron Mountain. Although the origin of the report is highly debated, the document itself hints that it was commissioned by the Department of Defense ...

The Speech that Launched Ronald Reagan into National Prominence: “A Time for Choosing”

Many versions of the speech exist, since it was altered over many weeks. Contrary to popular belief, however, the speech was not given at the 1964 Republican National Convention in San Francisco, California as a nomination speech for presidential candidate Senator Barry Goldwater; Richard Nixon gave that nomination speech. Reagan, though he campaigned for Goldwater, did not use "A Time for Choosing" until October 27, 1964, when it was part of ...

Presidential Candidate T. Coleman Andrews: The Income Tax is socialism. “It’s written into the Communist Manifesto”

"I don't like the income tax. Every time we talk about these taxes we get around to the idea of 'from each according to his capacity and to each according to his needs'. That's socialism. It's written into the Communist Manifesto. Maybe we ought to see that every person who gets a tax return receives a copy of the Communist Manifesto with it so he can ...
