The Australian Tennis Association, which control the Australian Open decreed that all players and staff associated with the tournament must be vaccinated. Djokovic went through a long process to obtain a medical exemption from the Association and an entrance visa from the government, and then announced he would be playing in the tournament.
If there was ever any doubt about the radical nature of the Australian government, their draconian Covid restrictions, and their insistence on vaccine mandates, it is how top Aussie government officials exploded in rage and set out to ambush Djokovic with a series of legal “gotchas” as he arrived. It is proof of their outrageous and evil intent.
Even before he arrived Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison threatened to deport Djokovic “if his vaccine exemption is determined to be insufficient.” Obviously, they were going to make sure it wasn’t sufficient, and that his visa was somehow invalid.
Since when does a nation’s PM get involved in visa matter of an arriving athlete? Only when its top leader is part of a global conspiracy to crush personal liberty and cram a dangerous vaccine into everyone’s body and vilify anyone who is capable of rallying the Aussies to oppose it. This obvious show of arbitrary action at the border is making Australia the laughing stock of the world. Except it is no laughing matter. ESPN which was going to televise his matches asked the sticky question:
It sounds like Djokovic was given approval by the tournament, so why can’t he play? Djokovic was granted an exemption by Tennis Australia (not the Australian government), but [the government claims] the wrong type of visa was filed for his border entry, and it was not valid for an unvaccinated person.
Who has separate visa rules for the vaxxed and unvaxxed? It looks to me like they are making up new rules to fit whatever situation they want to enforce.
As a result, he was stopped upon arrival at the Melbourne airport around 11:30 p.m. local time on Wednesday night. According to Djokovic’s father, Srdjan, Djokovic was isolated in a room by himself overnight while he spoke to Australian Border Force officials. “Novak is currently in a room which no one can enter,” Srdjan told B92, a Serbian media organization. “In front of the room are two policemen.”
So, he’s under house arrest in a very substandard hotel, under armed guard—special treatment for such a “dangerous” tennis player. Unwittingly, by making this a huge international scandal, Australia is quickly gaining a well-deserved reputation for tyranny. Paul Joseph Watson of Infowars added these details:
Djokovic was one of 26 applicants who successfully applied for a vaccine exemption to enter the country in order to defend his Australian Open title, which he has won nine times previously. The world number 1 has repeatedly refused to reveal if he’s been jabbed and decried the medical apartheid that is being imposed via vaccine passports.
However, after some expressed anger that Djokovic was given special treatment, Morrison said the tennis player would be on the next plane home if his vaccine exemption reasons weren’t deemed valid. “No special rules for Djokovic” says Scott Morrison, Australian PM on twitter.
Yes, but Morrison apparently conjured up special rules of their own to redefine his visa out of existence and overturn his exemption.
“My view is that any individual seeking to enter Australia must comply with our border requirements,” he added. [which we can change at will.]
“Now Novak Djokovic, when he arrives in Australia, he has to if he’s not vaccinated, must provide acceptable proof that he cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons to be able to access the same travel arrangements as fully vaccinated travelers.”
So, why have an exemption process at all if the government is going to say, “we have the arbitrary right to intervene and make you prove the process all over without knowing the criteria?” I’ve dedicated as much space to this story as I have because it shows how governments involved in this conspiracy will not follow the rule of law but will change any rule they have to in order to achieve their radical ends.
Djokovic is a national hero in Serbia which has no vaccine mandates. Serbian president Aleksandar Vucic said Serbia “will fight for Novak Djokovic, for justice and truth”.
