A marketing communications firm formed in 2001 by merging the Weber Group, Shandwick International and BSMG with HQ in NYC. The company is part of global agency network Interpublic Group (IPG), as part of the parent company’s IPG DXTRA operating division. The firm has long represented  big pharma firms such as Pfizer, Merck, Novartis, GloxoSmithKline and began providing public relations support to Moderna sometime in 2020. They have also worked with Bill Gates for Microsoft and The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation among many other businesses, governments, and organizations.1

According to a report from the Disinformation Chronicle, multiple employees of the PR firm Weber Shandwick are embedded at the CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases under a potential $50 million contract, and are very involved in the formulating guidance and public information on COVID-19 policy and vaccinations.2
