COVID-19

The WHO not only likely knew in advance that 2019-nCoV was created in a lab, but may have also been involved in its creation in the first place.  In an interview with Infowars‘ Owen Shroyer, Dr. Francis Boyle, a professor of international law at the University of Illinois College of Law, talked about the World Health Organization’s questionable involvement in bioweapons research. Boyle stated the following during the interview:

“The Chinese government has been lying about it from the get-go, covering it up, just like they did on SARS. The WHO is in on it. You can’t believe anything the WHO is telling you because this is a WHO special designated research lab. The WHO is up to its eyeballs in biological warfare research.”

The WHO Director-General (DG) Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has been an outspoken advocate for the Chinese government’s COVID-19 response. On January 28, Tedros met with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing. Following the meeting, Tedros commended China for “setting a new standard for outbreak control” and praised the country’s top leadership for its “openness to sharing information” with the WHO and other countries. Yet in Wuhan, the epicenter of the COVID-19 outbreak, Chinese officials were busy arresting and punishing citizens for “spreading rumors” about the disease, while online censors controlled the flow of information. Despite growing evidence of China’s mishandling of the outbreak and rising domestic Chinese outrage over the government’s censorship, Tedros remains unmoved. On February 20 at the Munich Security Conference, Tedros doubled down on his praise for China stating that “China has bought the world time.”

In contrast to his effusive praise for China, Tedros has been quick to criticize other countries for their responses to the outbreak. He called upon nations not to limit travel with China and warned against the “recrimination or politicization” of the outbreak. Domestic Chinese news coverage prominently features Tedros’ praise of Xi Jinping and criticism of foreign governments.

More concerning is Tedros’ delay in declaring COVID-19 a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC). On January 23, the WHO’s emergency committee was split on whether to declare a PHEIC. With final authority resting with the DG, Tedros decided to wait despite admitting that “this is an emergency in China.” A week later, he declared a PHEIC. By that point, confirmed cases of COVID-19 had increased tenfold with 7,781 cases across 18 countries. John Mackenzie, a member of the WHO executive committee, publicly stated that international action would have been different if not for China’s “reprehensible” obfuscation of outbreak’s extent.

China’s influence in the WHO is also evident in the organization’s treatment of Taiwan. Since China acceded to the UN in 1971, it has periodically blocked Taiwan’s WHO membership on the grounds that the democratically governed island is part of China. From 2009 to 2016, China allowed Taiwan to join the WHO’s decision-making body, the World Health Assembly, as an observer under the name Chinese Taipei. After the election of President Tsai Ing-wen in 2016, cross-strait relations chilled causing China to block Taiwan’s future participation.

Taiwan’s exclusion has very real consequences during global health emergencies. First, the WHO is an indispensable source of information for countries’ health departments. Without membership, Taiwan must rely on China’s health department for outbreak information often with delays ranging from several days to weeks. China has been forthcoming with information during the COVID-19 outbreak, but there is no guarantee of future cooperation leaving Taiwan in a precarious situation. Second, the WHO’s inclusion of Taiwan as part of China’s territory overstates the scale of the outbreak on the island leading to unmerited economic and diplomatic consequences. Mainland cases of COVID-19 are now above 70,000 with over 2,500 deaths. Taiwan has only reported 32 confirmed cases to date. However, several countries including Italy, El Salvador, Mongolia, Vietnam, and the Philippines used the WHO’s country classification as justification to restrict travel from Taiwan. While the Philippines and Vietnam eventually reversed their travel bans on Taiwan, the island nation’s continued exclusion from the WHO means that such a mistake is liable to recur.

Dr. Tedros’ inaction stands in stark contrast to the WHO’s actions during the 2003 SARS outbreak in China. Then WHO DG Dr. Gro Harlem Brundtland made history by declaring the WHO’s first travel advisory in 55 years which recommended against travel to and from the disease epicenter in southern China. Dr. Brundtland also criticized China for endangering global health by attempting to cover up the outbreak through its usual playbook of arresting whistleblowers and censoring media.

What has changed in the nearly two decades since the SARS epidemic? As always, it is important to follow the money. Since its founding, the WHO has required voluntary budgetary contributions to meet its broad mandate. In recent years, the WHO has grown more reliant upon these funds to address budget deficits. Countries’ assessed contributions have grown by only 3% since 2014. Extrabudgetary voluntary contributions have grown by 18% from $3.9 billion in 2014-15 to nearly $4.7 billion in 2018-19. This dependence on voluntary contributions leaves the WHO highly susceptible to the influence of individual countries or organizations.

For its part, China’s WHO contributions have grown by 52% since 2014 to approximately $86 million. This is largely due to China’s increase in assessed contributions which are based on a country’s economic development and population. However, China has also slightly increased voluntary contributions from $8.7 million in 2014 to approximately $10.2 million in 2019. While this pales in comparison to the United States’ 2018-19 contribution of $893 million, China’s growing contributions come as its influence across the UN is rising just as U.S. leadership is declining. Going forward, China might appear to be a more reliable partner for organizations dependent on members’ financial support like the WHO.

China was also an important ally of Tedros in the WHO’s DG election in 2017. Months before the election, Tedros was invited to speak at Peking University where he called for stronger cooperation between China and the Global South on health issues. China’s support for Tedros paid off immediately. The day after his electoral victory, Tedros confirmed to Chinese state-media that he and the WHO will continue to support the “One China” principle, which recognizes the government in Beijing as the legitimate Chinese government. Three years later, Tedros’ enduring support of China’s response to COVID-19 shows that their early support for him is still paying dividends.

The WHO’s weak response to China’s mishandling of the COVID-19 outbreak has laundered China’s image at the expense of the WHO’s credibility. The rate of infection in China appears to be declining, but the risk of a global pandemic is increasing. The time is ripe for clear leadership from the WHO based on science not politics. (source)

WHO KOW-TOWS TO CHINA OVER TAIWAN, WITH FATAL CONSEQUENCES

One of the most important respects in which the WHO serves as China’s poodle is in the matter of Taiwan’s membership of the WHO. The nationalist Kuomintang government of China, driven out by Mao Tse-Tung’s Communists in 1947, established itself in Taiwan, which has been independent of Communist China ever since. However, now that China is a member of the United Nations, Taiwan has been expelled from that and all related international bodies, including the WHO. As will be seen in the chronology of China’s lies, deceits and corruption that follows, the exclusion of Taiwan has had very serious – indeed, fatal – consequences for the world’s health.

At a WHO meeting in 2019 Luke Brown, Minister of Health for St Vincent and the Grenadines, said: “There is simply no principled basis why Taiwan should not be here. The only reason why it is not here now is because the government in Peking does not like the government in Taipei.”

Because China insists on excluding Taiwan, Taiwan cannot even join the WHO as an observer, let alone as a member state. Natasha Kassam, an expert on Chin/Taiwan relations at the Lowy Institute in Australia, said: “Taiwan’s exclusion from the WHO leaves its population vulnerable during this crisis. A lack of direct and timely channels to the WHO has already resulted in inaccurate reporting of cases in Taiwan.”

Taiwan repeatedly complained that China and the WHO were not sharing information about the pandemic. The same exclusion of Taiwan by the WHO had occurred when SARS had broken out in China in 2003.

In January 2020, a WHO spokesman called Taiwan “China-Taiwan”.

On 4 February, a WHO report referred to Taiwan as “Taiwan, China”. The report, bizarrely relying on data from Peking about cases and deaths in Taiwan rather than on information from the government in Taipei, got the numbers wrong.

By late February, under further pressure from the Chinese Communist regime in Peking, the WHO no longer mentioned Taiwan at all in its situation reports. The 22 February sitrep, for instance, described Taiwan as “Taipei and environs”, listing it among affected cities in Communist China.

Alison Katz, a researcher who spent 17 years at the WHO, and who on 22 January 2007 sent an open letter to the new director of the agency, the Chinese Margaret Chan, accusing the organization of “corruption, nepotism, violation of its statutes and ineffectiveness in its internal control system”, and concluding that “the WHO has become a victim of neo-liberal globalisation”. She denounced “the commercialisation of science and the close ties between the industry and academic institutions” and “corporatist” private science, and considered that “the WHO ought to be the leader of a movement to transform the way in which scientific research is done, including its sources of funding, as well as the acquisition and use of knowledge” and that the officials of an international organization do not have the right “not to know”. (18)

There are many other questionable activities that the WHO has been involved with over the years. However, the above provide sufficient evidence to argue the case that, at least within the upper echelons of the WHO, global health does not stand in high priority.  The organization employs over 7,000 people around the world and most of these have deep concern for improving the lives of populations in poor and developing nations. On the other hand, the WHO’s leaders are there largely because the powers of Washington, London and the pharmaceutical industry benefit by the organization advancing its agendas.

Of course, the WHO is not the only health entity with a legacy of corruption.  Corruption appears to be systemic throughout global health and national health agencies.  This topic was featured last year in the prestigious medical journal The Lancet. Author Dr. Patricia Garcia writes,

“Corruption is embedded in health systems. Throughout my life—as a researcher, public health worker, and a Minister of Health—I have been able to see entrenched dishonesty and fraud. But despite being one of the most important barriers to implementing universal health coverage around the world, tainted legacy is rarely openly discussed.”

Bear in mind, the WHO, along with Bill Gates and his Foundation, and Anthony Fauci at the National Institutes for Allergy and Infectious Disease, are leading the efforts to develop a COVID-19 vaccine. Do you believe we can trust their judgment and the intense public relations effort that will immediately follow after such a vaccine reaches the market?

The video below was removed by YouTube in order to censor Dr. Mercola’s expose of WHO’s true agenda:

The WHO has the active support of the Communists who control Google and YouTube. The WHO is tackling what Communist China calls “misinformation” by working with Google to “correct” it. Searchers, therefore, get “facts” from the WHO first when they look for information about the virus. Youtube censors and deletes all content that goes against the World Health Organization’s recommendations. YouTube has been actively demonetizing videos critical of Communist China’s role in lying about the pandemic and thus allowing it to spread worldwide. And it has also been “shadow-banning” sites of which Peking disapproves, and furtively unsubscribing the subscribers to such channels.

WHO Insider Blows Whistle on Gates and GAVI

This is a really important article. It catalyzed my understanding of what the heck is going on. The facts are obvious; the entire response to the global pandemic was facilitated by the World Health Organization. Their recommendations were followed lock-step by virtually every government on Earth. No one will dispute this fact. The next data point is: Who controls the WHO? Some will dispute this, but the evidence ...

WHO Changes Definition of Herd Immunity

Public health policies, public perception potentially affected as terminology changes. In a shocking reversal that’s akin to redefining reality, the World Health Organization has changed its definition of herd immunity. Herd immunity occurs when enough people acquire immunity to an infectious disease such that it can no longer spread widely in the community. When the number susceptible is low enough to prevent epidemic growth, herd immunity is ...
